Young Virtuosi @ West Green House
For 50 years, we have been nurturing young Australian classical musicians and supporting them in their studies at some of the finest institutions in the UK, Europe, and North America.
After a delicious luncheon, Yvonne Kenny AM, our Chair UK and Marylyn Abbott, West Green House introduced a concert in the Greenhouse of some of our ‘Young Virtuosi’. The concert featured exceptional performances from Foundation awardees and alumni, including
Samantha Hargreaves (Soprano)
Nathan Bryon (Tenor), and
Magdalenna Krstevska (Clarinet)
with Daniel Peter Silcock (Piano).
The Australian High Commission was also delighted to join Yvonne Kenny AM, the Chair of the Foundation, in celebrating its anniversary at the concert. Later this year in November, we look forward to further celebrations of 50 years of the Australian Music Foundation at Australia House.
The afternoon concluded with some words from our new Trustee and alumna, Samantha Crawford on our award's impact on her career.
Our guests, supporters and donors enjoyed wines by Jasper Hill Wines and Wines by Kylie Minogue.
